This short history
outlines the progress of the expedition in 17 easy chapters. It can be read or downloaded as an e-book at Burke and Wills Web;

A book of the presentations given at the Burke & Wills Outback Conferences was published by the Society. Although now out of print, copies of the book can be found in most State Libraries.
For people interested in a general description of the expedition, the following two books are available :
